Dr. Hansika Kapoor

Dr. Hansika Kapoor is a Research Author at the Department of Psychology, Monk Prayogshala - an independent not-for-profit academic research institute, located in Mumbai India. 

Dr. Kapoor has a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology and a PhD from IIT, Bombay in creativity. She completed her Fulbright Postdoctoral Fellowship (2019-2020) working with Prof. James C. Kaufman at the University of Connecticut. Dr. Kapoor is an Affiliate at the Neag School of Education at the University of Connecticut.

Dr. Kapoor is a proud recipient of the 2025 Daniel E. Berlyne Award from Division 10 of the American Psychological Association for outstanding research by an early-career scholar in creativity. She is a published author, practising psychologist, and has diverse experiences in research consultancy in behavioural and cognitive science.

Dr. Kapoor’s work has been published in several international peer-reviewed academic journals, such as Creativity Research Journal, Thinking Skills and Creativity, and Personality and Individual Differences. She regularly contributes to popular media publications, including Psychology Today, Mint, and The Wire.

 

Dr. Kapoor has been cited as a subject matter expert in numerous features on social and cognitive psychology in the Indian context. Dr Kapoor is featured in the book 31 Fantastic Adventures in Science: Women Scientists in India. Her research interests lie in creativity, socio-moral psychology, and behavioural science. 

Dr. Kapoor has led several projects relating to academia-industry collaborations as well as psychometric test development and assessment for various corporations across different industries.
